Material Grade:

Commercially Pure Zirconium: Zr1 (R60700, CP1), Zr3 (R60702, CP2), Zr4 (R60704, CP4) - Excellent corrosion resistance, particularly against acids and alkalis.

Zirconium Alloys: Zr5 (R60705, Zr-Nb 2.5%) - Enhances strength, creep resistance, and high-temperature oxidation resistance compared to pure zirconium, especially suitable for nuclear reactor fuel cladding and other structural components.

Size Range:

Thickness: Available with a range from 0.5mm (0.02") to 100mm (4").

Width: custom widths are supported.

Applicable Standards:

Primary Standard: ASTM B551 (Standard Specification for Zirconium and Zirconium Alloy Strip, Sheet, and Plate).

Raw Material Standards: ASTM B350 (Zirconium and Zirconium Alloy Ingots).

Other Relevant Standards: ASTM B495 (for Zirconium Sponge for Nuclear Applications), ASTM B493 (Forgings, if used as raw material), and other international general standards specified by the customer (e.g., GB/T, JIS, DIN, GOST, ISO, etc.).

Surface Finish: Available in hot-rolled annealed and pickled, cold-rolled annealed and pickled, polished, or other surface conditions to meet specific optical, tribological, or corrosion resistance requirements.

Manufacturing Process & Quality Control

High-Purity Melting & Processing: Utilizing advanced vacuum melting (VAR/EB Melting) technology to produce high-purity zirconium ingots. Subsequently, rigorously controlled forging, hot rolling, and precision cold rolling processes ensure the plate's density, uniformity, and excellent mechanical properties.

Precision Heat Treatment: Implementing precise annealing treatments to relieve processing stress, optimize grain structure, and ensure the material's ductility and long-term stability.

Rigorous Quality Testing (INSPECTIONS):

Raw Material Inspection: Strict chemical composition analysis (Spectro Test), including control over trace impurities.

Internal Flaw Detection: Ultrasonic Testing (UT) is performed on finished plates to ensure the absence of internal cracks, inclusions, porosity, and other defects.

Geometric Dimensions & Surface Quality Inspection: Precise measurement of thickness, width, length, flatness, and high-precision visual and automated inspection for surface defects (e.g., scratches, indentations).

Mechanical Properties Testing: Tensile Test (Elongation, Yield Strength, Tensile Strength), Hardness Test, Bend Test, etc.

Metallographic & Corrosion Tests: Metallographic Analysis (for microstructure evaluation), Corrosion Test in specific corrosive media (e.g., ASTM G28, G48) to verify durability in harsh chemical environments.

Nuclear-Grade Performance Testing: (If supplying nuclear-grade zirconium) Low thermal neutron capture cross-section testing can be performed.

Traceability: Comprehensive material reports are provided, ensuring complete traceability from raw material to final plate/sheet, with support for independent third-party certification.
